Now I have to learn to pronounce Adeiny Hechavarria

<t>I actually called for this trade the moment I saw Hech was DFA'd (Carolina Bucco can vouch for that). Seems like a pretty low-risk acquisition, since they're getting an elite glove man who addresses a specific need on this team for minimal salary. It doesn't work out, he's a FA at season's end so...

Twinkies@Bucs Home opener Game Thread 4/2...

The Bucs had better keep this going Wednesday night against the Twins to get to 5-0.

Because if recent history is any guide, they'll be 5-4 on Sunday afternoon after the fearsome Big Red Machine comes in and earns yet another sweep at PNC.

Bucs get Dickerson

Do we know for sure that Dickerson is going to play the outfield? Given the organization's track record of playing guys out of position (Jaso, Osuna, etc.), I wouldn't put it past them to put him in the pen and make him Rivero's setup man.

Would It Be Appropriate To Retire Cutch’s Number

Shoot, if they retired Billy Meyer's #1, they could justify retiring Cutch's #22. Or, for that matter, Gene Lamont's #32.

4 year deal with Rivero

<t>Maybe I'm overly cynical, but to me, the signing of this deal makes it even easier to trade Rivero. <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> The acquiring team gets the benefit of cost certainty for Rivero with his arb years bought out. As fungible as the Pirates have believed relievers to be over the years (Hanr...
