We could probably get an answer to that question by looking at the season predictions. There were some pretty pessimistic (then, realistic now) predictions in the bunch.

Where in the heck did our hitting go? This latest slump is pitiful. You cannot blame it all on the hitting coach,but maybe we need a change .

They have 7 hits ,but Cutch has 3 of them. Also Taillon had one of them. The rest of the lineup is asleep. Where in heavens name is Frazier? He knows how to hit.
