Mets use 5 pitchers to no-hit Phillies. When it takes 5 pitchers, it's more of an indictment of the hitters than a tribute to the pitchers.

True, but I'm not even sure of that. The hardest act in sports is to hit a pitched ball. It was hard enough in the old days. Imagine having to adjust to five different arms. Ten total. ;)_

Still, baseball's a team sport, so....the pitchers did their jobs as maybe the fielders did, too. DNK. Didn't see it.

I agree that it's not like we can give much recognition to a pitcher.

Trevor Bauer suspended for two years for his bad, off-the-field behavior. He can appeal.

Without going into detail, I'd like to know what they have on him. It had better be good. We just came off a contentious labor negotiation. Through the investigation, the union's gone along with the repeated suspension extensions, so I'm led to believe that it's not "nothing."

I don't like to see anyone penalized unless they deserve to be. This isn't just a baseball thing. If he did something awful, he should pay the price. If he didn't, move on and face the next batter.

Watching Tigers-Dodgers.

1-1 game top of the 7th, Tigers get the first two on, and send the next guy up to bunt. Yep, bunt. Even with two strikes, still tried to bunt. Strike out on the foul, next batter strikes out looking on a horrid third strike call, luckily Baez doubles with two outs to get a run in.

Why are you bunting in that situation? It's the 7th inning!!!!

As we often see the jokes about the empty seats in PNC, I was kind of surprised watching the Yankees-Blue Jays game and thought their stands were pretty empty for such a big game.

That's with the two teams fighting for the top of the AL East, the Yankees in on a 9 game winning streak.

I know it's a Monday game. But surely, that has to be somewhat concerning to MLB. Not to mention the Blue Jays brass.
