Both teams waste scoring opportunities.
Oviedo's looking strong. He's around the plate enough to get batters to commit on that slider before it tails away. Kyle Crick had that kind of movement but was so rarely around the plate that he couldn't tempt batters to swing so he ended up with walks instead of swings and misses.

Dang, Cards scratch out a run. Oviedo, if he’s done, pitched really well.

Oviedo was outstanding. After 3 starts, his ERA is 2.45.

We should be very excited by Oviedo’s start tonight.
I’m looking forward to an eventual Keller, Contreras, Oviedo, Ortiz and possibly Priester rotation.
Mathias serves no purpose on this team. Marcano should be up here now! If Suwinski can’t turn it around in 2 weeks then Swaggerty needs to get a real chance.
This team is deep and is capable of playing .500 ball, maybe better
BTW: I really hate losing to the Cardinals. It’s time for the Bucs to send a statement to the Cardinals that they will no longer be a push over
