This one is getting ugly here in the 8th. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon is a better day in Philly for both the Bucs and the Penguins as well.

This is one of the worst managed games by Hurdle in a long time. Double switching Bell in the 6th only up 2-0. Putting Frazier in center for Marte, and leaving Vazquez in this 8th inning burning him out for a save situation tomorrow. Not good at all.

When the Pirates lose, they look awful. Bad throws by Frazier and Freese. Wild Pitches, cross ups by Vasquez.

I would think I would have felt good about 12-9 at this point in the season, but not so much.

Yep. I loved the start but I know this isn't a good team.

Yep. I loved the start but I know this isn't a good team.
Inconsistent starting pitching, weak bullpen, inconsistent hitting. All the things we expected. It was nice for 2 weeks when all those "ifs" were working out, but it was unrealistic that it would continue that way.
