Haven't started one in a while, so figured I'd give it a shot. Hopefully I have some good mojo.

Last night we got beat by two things...Hurdle trusting Kontos, and the weather. Got robbed of at least three home runs by the wind coming in from left field.

Kontos doesn’t appear dialed-in yet. He has had a very good career, and I thought he looked really good for the Bucs last year. Through 9 innings in 2018, Kontos has given up 11 hits and struck out only 2. His career averages are 7.8 H/9 and 7.3 K/9. Though he isn’t a flame thrower, normally he has some good breaking pitches. The times I have seen him this year he appears to lack consistently sharp break. But what is really impacting him is location – he has served up some meat – center cut.

I know it is early and all, but in his role you better be sharp when you leave Florida. Hope he locks it in – soon.

Lost 4 of 5. Need to reverse that.

But for the longest and most unlikely double play in MLB history, all started by a pickoff play (not by a ball put in play) there is a very good chance Kontos' ERA moves well north of 5.0 last night. He was hit hard. His performance has been costly so far.

Moroff would have led off the game with a 2-run HR! :D

Brault getting the job done so far. I like him as a #6 starter / swing man.

Well dang...we missed out on history there. SRod will just have to hit two to make up for it.
