The RS for me, is like going to industry trade shows:

I get to stop by the booths, see all kinds of things that I know would help, but I know that I have no chance to get any of them.

Step aside. Time for the adult swim.

Ah, the good old trade show. I went to many a insurance agent's trade shows in my day. The best part of the day was not the speakers and seminars but the hospitality rooms of the insurance companies and allied vendors of items that help agents do their jobs. And those hospitality rooms provided gallons of free booze and many liars poker games. I even won a door prize from one of the vendors. It was an oil painting that was ugly as hell. I kept but never hung it. I is now hidden behind a hutch in my dining room where nobody can see it. I guess you have been in the same situation GW.

With the exception of the Boston- Yankee playoff, the stage is set. Someone had a contest last year concerning the eventual World Series winner. Maybe you could do it again
