I just got home and turned it on. I've been looking forward to this game. Wish I had seen the opening!

Pirates, Orioles, Rangers, Diamondbacks all lose.
A's who are leading in the AL Wildcard race blast Cleveland 17-0. Marte 2-3 with 3 RBI's

Hope some of you caught the opening of the Field Of Dreams game between the Yankees and the White Sox. Very touching. Especially when the players came walking out of the corn stocks with those old time uniforms.

Bucs, Orioles, and Rangers have all lost today. The D Backs play later this evening. The Pirates seem destined to be the fourth worst team.

They still have time. Brewers coming in and then a trip out West to play the Dodgers. Also have a bunch of games against the Reds

Pirates are now rock bottom (-183) in run differential again, but the Orioles (-176) have now squeezed past the D-backs (-175) too.

Arrieta released by the Cubs. Sadly, Polanco remains.

I guess it's time for the Pirates to sign him. They like to wait until a good player's career is all but over and then sign him for name value when no one else wants him.

If the Cubs keep losing they are going to be worse than the Pirates. Since the trade deadline they have been pitiful.
