I'm surprised. Since there aren't a lot of games to pitch as a 5th starter for the first month, I thought Glasnow would go to AAA where he could pitch every 5th day. I think this move has definitely been made to boost his confidence. Also surprised at the Webb move. I've got a feeling that the Bucs have been trying to work a trade with the Yankees for him. I hope this works. I have been an advocate of Glasnow as the fifth starter this off season. I do think he will have struggles with control and take some lumps early on but my hope is that he works through them and becomes a shit down pitcher around playoff time.

No, you're not the only one. Reading the articles, NH confirms my fears. That is, Glasnow is not quite ready but can learn at the MLB level. So when in September we are lamenting those April losses, we will look back at Glasnow starting games unable to hold runners, with poor control and still trying to learn a change-up.
