I think until Bednar puts a handful of good innings together the Pirates should refrain from using his entry music. He has had his share of blown saves this season. I feel many fans have lost confidence in him. One way or the other he will give up a run or two when he pitches. It is best to have a three run lead when he comes into pitch the ninth.Wildwoodcoach wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 12:15 pmConcerning Holderman, I guess his haircut didn't workWildwoodcoach wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 10:26 am Most will blame Holderman again butr if Bednar does his job

No way they sign either one with a multi year contract. I think if a deal was proposed either one could get traded this offseason.Ecbucs wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 1:55 pmnot good. Bednar made the All Star game in 2023 and 2022. In late June it looked like Holderman was a candidate for the 2024 team.Bobster wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 1:36 pm For as much damage as Holderman is doing to this team, Bednar isn't much better. 5.17 ERA. Scored upon in 3 straight outings (just 2 less than Holderman), 4 of his last 6 games and 6 of his last 11 games. A career high 7 HRs allowed in only 38.1 innings. His highest WHIP and lowest K rare of his Pirate career. 4 blown saves already in 41 games. Last year he had 3 in 66 games.
It now looks like the Pirates should not try and get a multi-year contract with either of them.
