If people in the stands can tell he's playing as if he's disinterested and so forth, it has to be affecting the team as well. They know the whole story, how he is in the clubhouse and meetings, etc.

I'm wondering if they're hoping to negotiate some extensions in the off-season. Cole? Is that even possible?

He "wasn't ready" because he pitched Saturday. Not ready Tuesday, but ready Thursday. Not all that difficult.

I'll add my thanks as well. Been a busy weekend but I just now had time to log on. Also happy about the sweep and the Cubs looking mortal finally. Living in northern Indiana means living among Cubs fans, who would be unbearable if the Cubs actually ever won a World Series.
