I know it makes players nervous, but with only days to go we're starting to see trade rumors. Here's from mlbtr -- https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/08/ ... -kuhl.html

For the right deal, I'd even be willing to throw in Joe Block as a sweetener.

I woulds give our players away as long as Block had to go with them.

If the Blue Jays trade was either Williams or Kuhl I think I would prefer that they traded Williams. They are both back of rotation guys, but I think at this point Kuhl is the better pitcher.

Me, I'd just give Block away or even just put him on Release Waivers and hope he catches on in Japan or Korea. Anywhere but Pittsburgh. ;D ;D ;D

If the trade rumors are accurate the Blue Jays do have some catching depth in their system excluding McGuire.

Just saw an article in which the Yankees are looking for pitching. They could use a starter and a reliever as well. If the Bucs are willing to trade Williams, package him with either Kela or Rich Rod, and see what the Yanks will offer in return. Trading Kela depends on whether he has recovered from his arm strain.

The Pirates should be in a good position to make a trade and bring in some depth for the future with several teams needing pitching help.

Would a contending GM be fooled enough, or desperate enough, to part with a good player for one of our starting pitchers? Maybe BC can throw in Polanco to sweeten the deal.
