I think teams can only be fined a maximum of two million. That's what the Cards got when they got caught hacking the Astros' player database. The Cards also lost two draft picks.

Who gets the draft picks? The Yankees? Or just take them all away?



This is big to me. This is a team cheating, not just a few players on PEDs. This is worse than the Cardinals in my opinion as a rule is in place. The Cardinals weren't punished enough.

There is no rule against stealing signs. But there is a rule against using electronic devices. Whatever penalty is incurred will be for that.

You are correct. Teams have been accused of stealing signs with cameras before, but no team ever admitted guilt to my knowledge. The Red Sox didn't deny the charges and knew the rule. It is cheating. In-game cheating.
