Delay steal in the 8th? Bad strategy. Delayed steals in most cases is a bad idea. Especially, in the 8th with only a man on first in a 0-0 game.

I'd bring in a lefty to face Rizzo. There should be a righty and lefty up in the bullpen in a game like this.

I doubt it was a delayed steal. Just a bad read by Luplow. The other day he took off as soon as a ball hit the dirt in front of the catcher. He made it safely. This time the pitch was low but caught cleanly. I think he anticipated the ball getting in the dirt and took off.

Things were going well until Hudson came in. What a surprise.

Nicasio was waived so that Hudson could pitch in later innings. ::) I guess it never occurred to them to flip-flop Hudson and Nicasio in the reliever formula.

I know people only want Rivero to pitch as a Closer, but bringing him in could have helped against those lefties. This is one strategy I wish will be reviewed.

they said rivero was out for last night. you can argue over that is the right thing to do or not, but it's where they were with that.
