Excellent inning by Stratton. Nice defense behind him. Looked like a baseball team out there.
So the ship is righted in the field, on the mound, for one half inning. Now it's up to El Coffee to get the offense going.
I can't remember the last time he was called that either. I guess he was decaffeinated.

I find it absolutely perplexing that a major league pitcher, one of the 500 best people on the planet with regard to throwing a baseball, can't consistently throw the ball in the strike zone. It's not like Keller just picked up a baseball for the first time a year ago. He's been doing this most of his life. How does someone like him get this far and with so many knowledgeable people saying he's really, really good?
They were talking on the broadcast that not only was Keller one of the highest rated prospect pitchers in all of MLB, but he was rated as having the best control, and they wondered where that has gone. Hence the comment that was mentioned where all they could offer was, "have patience"

Stratton could have struck out just as easily as Fowler.
I think the Fowler experiment is going to end soon.

Shelton at some point is going to have to leave a pitcher in for the original intended purpose of getting multiple innings, despite the situation they were just in with 2 outs and a man on third. Isn't there some analytics about this? Probability stuff, you know?
I can't fault either way, because I saw the outcome. Just saying.
Frazier with another nice defensive play to end the inning. Underwood Jr. has been spectacular so far.
