Otani to Angels.
No one guessed that one.
I am surprised. Yeah, they have Trout and Simmons but they don't have a young team (average age around 30). Maybe their minor leagues look promising?

Otani to Angels.
I'd note that zero fellow board posters guessed correctly . . . so don't feel bad
Otani to Angels.
Have to confess...I definitely didn't see that one coming. I have a buddy who's a HUGE Angels fan. He's pretty stoked today.

Otani to Angels.
Glad he chose this failing team if he wasn't going to come to Pittsburg. Looks like he got some bad advise, can't think of a worse team for a talented young propect to go to.

Mike Trout was reported to face time Ohtani. I always wondered if Pirate players got involved in recruiting free agents? It makes sense to me.

Dang, I bet if the Pirates had told him about Robert Wholey's this thread would have a different title. >===^;>

I'm kind of disappointed that the Angels are going to use Ohtani mainly as a pitcher. I thought he went to the Angels so he could do both?
Did something happen? Like, did Ohtani fail at hitting pitchers when he got to the states? I know this can change, but I find it interesting.

From all the news reports that I say concerning Otani's use by the Halos was to be a starting pitcher (his best position according to a lot of scouts) and then DH 3 to 4 games a week at best. So there is no change in how they originally intended to use him.
