Poor Wil Crowe. Not only is he supported by a bunch of AAAA hitters but equally bad fielders in the OF. I am rooting though for a miracle in Wrigley today that bats somehow show up and that the defense plays like the Steel Curtain defense of the Stillers. Let's go Bucs make Shelty look like a genius today.
I know Reynolds had a less then memorable day yesterday, but honestly, why is Evans still playing the OF? It's clear he can handle third just fine. Should have kept Reynolds and CF, and Difo in RF, Evans at 3b, Gonzalez at SS, and Newman making gatorade.
BTW, I'm rooting for Perez to somehow find a magic potion to hit around .225 and supplant Stallings as the starting catcher.
IDK what happened to Stallings between last season and this one, but he has shown a chilling drop off in his defensive skills. He also seems to be confused as what to do out there.
It amazes me everyday that there hasn't been at least one outfielder developed in the minor leagues over the past five or six years who isn't ready to play in the big leagues this season. Not one.
