I always felt like any ball I got to, I should catch. If you have the speed to cover the ground and get to the ball there's no excuse for not catching it regardless of how far you had to run. So if you have the speed to get to the ball the catch probability should be 100%. If you don't have the ability to cover the ground and reach the ball the catch probability is 0%.
It wasn't all that long ago that players with college degrees were vilified by the many uneducated throughout baseball. I don't want to return to those days but I'd like to see the influence of the MBAs and mathematicians who've grabbed hold of the game be at least pared back if not minimized.

Except for a game against the Marlins with 11, Gausman hasn't struck out more than 7 in a game this season.....he has 12 now

Gausman came up with the Orioles and was hyped as their ace in waiting. But he was always a disappointment and they gave up and traded him. This is the first season he's ever looked like he might live up to his potential.

Time for a rally. I find it hard to believe this team can't muster more than a single run

Right now we'd settle for a single run.

When you have only 4 hits and 3 are by the same player it's hard to score.
