Now is the time to see what Cervelli can bring back. His value couldn't be any higher. I would shop Harrison now too. Freese is probably gone once Kang returns.

Rodriguez is pointless to have. Nova? I doubt you can move him unless you attach Keller for the next Hutchinson.

I think Harrison and Freese, they can fill a variety of roles on a team that's likely looking to strengthen their 25 man roster.

Cervelli is the most valuable piece, if he can pull in a Lucroy type haul, NH has to make that move.

Kang returning (if he does) might force an early decision on some of the surplus infielders. Overall, though, I don't see NH making any moves until mid-July. At that point it will depend on who other teams want. There are a number of vets who could go. I would expect Freese to be one (and high on the 'to go' list for the Pirates, especially if Kang is at all productive). I could also see Cervelli going. So for me it's Freese first, Cervelli as my backup.

Only Harrison and Cervelli would be considered salary dumps. The other veteran players have younger (better) players ready to come up or take over.

Mercer would be the interesting one if he goes. Newman and Kramer might get a late call up. King will probably be on the team in a month.

Freese and Rodriguez can be easily replaced with the younger talent like Moroff and Osuna. Polanco can be replaced by Meadows. Nova can be replaced by younger talent too. Would people really consider it a salary dump if Nova is traded? I would think it is to make the team better now and in the future. Not every trade is a "salary dump".
