All-Star game

Thought it might be nice to have an AS thread.

Scoreless inning for Skenes. Soto waled with 2 outs and Judge bounced to 3rd.

Skenes amazes me with how calm and in control he appears to be, regardless of the situation. What a talent!

Viewing Gamecast it shows that Soto should’ve been called out on strikes.

Oh, to have had Trea Turner’s talent. Talk about a guy who makes baseball look so easy.

Reynolds K's for the final out of the game.

Two notable things in the top of the 9th, one for each league. De La Cruz grounds out to 2B and jogs to 1B because it's beneath him to hustle. That's the new standard on ground balls in MLB. Merrill reaches on a swinging bunt that was going to roll foul but pitcher Clase makes fundamental mistake by picking the ball up without time to throw Merrill out. A poor display for an AS game.

The walk to Sota should have been a K. The fact that Contreras wiffed the catch didn't help

Good example of the blown save stat: NL's Logan Webb was charged with a blown save for giving up runs in the 3rd inning. Maybe a blown save should not be charged until the 8th or 9th inning when the pitcher might have actually gained a save.
