Alford wasted no time striking out.

Why would anyone want Alford especially batting lead off. Looked lost on the fly ball not a good outfielder.

He ran into the wall on that double. But it was the wrong section. The ball was hitting the wall 10 feet away. Other than that and whiffing twice on balls in the dirt, he's having a fine game.

Yes it was. Chavis was Cherington's 1st round draft pick when he was GM at Boston in 2014.
