Can't complain with the exception of Van Meter- Guess they have a Lefty going. With Newman out, the only other choice would be Tucker. Pick your poison

Reds are going with a RHP. VanMeter is hitting .177 against RHPs. Tucker is batting .189 vs RHPs. Not much to choose from.

Well ---- you could play Gamel at first, Chavis at second and put Suwinski in RF.



And, while I recognize that Tucker has done very little at the plate, he is a better defender than No Meter, has more speed, and hits just about as poorly. In short, anything to keep VanMeter out of the line-up.

Shelton's obsession with VM is astounding. He's not a reclamation project. He was never any good. If they're waiting for him to start hitting, there's nothing in his history to suggests that's going to happen. He's not even very good defensively.
