It was Keller's turn. It appears they plan to have him pitch as a reliever tonight.

Pirate debut of Heineman behind the plate. VanMeter's absence from the lineup (needs a rest) leaves a gaping hole in the leadoff spot. I hope Hayes is rested enough to fill that void.

I read on the ESPN crawl that Perez is scheduled for season ending surgery.

So that ends his career here.

For those watching what choice for broadcast? I'm going with Braun and Alonso.

If you have a smart tv, you can just search for the MLB channel on the Youtube app. If you are watching on a computer, just go to Youtube and search for MLB.

Well, Smyly had 24 strike-outs in 31 innings entering tonight's game. So far, 5 out of 6 Pirates who have made outs have struck out. Not the best of starts for the Bucs.

And Morel strikes out. Guess he won't hit a HR every at-bat in his career.

While his enthusiasm on the HR was great on one-hand last night, it also was getting to be a bit much. He is fortunate that Doc Ellis is no longer pitching for the Bucs. His ribs would have been a bit sore after his first at-bat in tonight's game.
