If Perez goes 0-3, he'll be sitting on exactly a .100 BA
I will say this. With Vogelbach and Tsutsugo on the IL, the lineup is much faster

San Diego's starting CF tonight has a .157 BA, but has 13 RBI. He's their version of Yoshi!

Only if they get on base.

As I mentioned in the GDT yesterday, Chavis looked like he hurt his hand or arm swinging, and lo and behold, he's day to day right now for his left arm. Interesting that actually Greg Brown and Bob Walk noticed it a few games ago and had been commenting on it about how he was releasing his bottom hand, and last night he obviously made it worse.
Time to bring up Cruz, throw him in at first. If he can't pick it, no problem neither could Yoshi, if he can't catch it no problem neither could Chavis, if he can't find first no problem neither could VanMeter, and if he looks like he should just be DH no problem that's all Vogelbach was good for.

Why must it be so complicated? Why? Why? Why?

Nice to hang in there and come through. Hayes never left, but I get your point. He's been there. Until today, his hits didn't go out there. What a nice time to do it.

I have never understood why on earth you send someone up to bunt, even if they can't do it very well, watch them get two strikes, THEN let them swing away.
This isn't Shelton, this is the mindset throughout MLB. If a guy can't bunt, don't hamstring him when you have let him swing by not letting him swing away in the first place.
Sheesh.
