Pirates claim Kevin Padlo from Seattle…WTF?

Give me a break. Why?

He plays 3B & 1B, he is RH, he has a .143/.200/.2011 slash line if I remember correctly. We don’t need this type of dumpster diving!!!!

I don’t understand this BS

Why didn’t we put in a claim for Dinelson Lamet? He at least has been highly successful in the Majors and has some upside

I guess so. And VanMeter is still on the roster but we DFA’d Marisnick

Padlo wasn`t who the Pirates really wanted, it was 1b David MacKinnon. But Oakland got him first. Read a quote somewhere an BC mentioned a team getting a player that they wanted off waivers.

But why take Padlo? It's not like they were required to take someone.

The dumpster diving has gotten so weird this year. But I would say I would welcome Padlo if, and only if, VanMeter had finally been given his ticket out of town.
