Official Game Thread - 9/17 - Bucs @ Cards

Post by Possum »

Bucs

1 SS N. Gonzales R
2 LF B. Reynolds S
3 C Joey Bart R
4 DH A. McCutchen R
5 1B Rowdy Tellez L
6 RF B. De La Cruz R
7 3B Jared Triolo R
8 2B Nick Yorke R
9 CF M. Taylor R
SP Bailey Falter L

Cards

1 SS Masyn Winn R
2 DH Luken Baker R
3 1B P. Goldschmidt R
4 3B N. Arenado R
5 LF B. Donovan L
6 RF J. Walker R
7 2B T. Saggese R
8 C Pedro Pages R
9 CF M. Siani L
SP Lance Lynn R

Here we go. Poor Bailey Falter. He doesn't have a chance to win considering Delacruz is in RF, why not Billy Cook? How would that hurt the Bucs? Finally, Taylor in CF? We thought he was DFA'd and should not be with the club. Shelty and GMBC are blowing smoke at us.
Let's Go Bucs

Yesterday, Connor Joe. Today, Michael Taylor. Neither will be with the team next season. No way the Pirates offer a contract to Joe after the season. He's making over 2 million and will get an automatic bump in pay being Arb 2.

Only way these two in the MLB next season are as ST invites with minor league contracts.

You bring these guys up and you don't play them. It truly is nothing more than giving everyone a final shot at getting a "look" somewhere. Joe, Tellez, Taylor, Grandal there's no way they're part of the 2025 team. Quit playing them FCOL

Yorke should have been up 2 weeks ago and he and Cook should be playing every day. Why not? But the Pirates are run by fools. As for Taylor, he was not DFA'd. They asked waivers on him to see if anyone would be interested and put in a claim. It would appear no one was interested. Gee, I wonder why. And considering the Pirates hoped someone would take him off their hands, it makes no sense that he plays while others with a future on the team sit. But the Pirates are run by fools.

Did I mention that the Pirates are run by fools?

It is mind boggling to me that when De La Cruz arrived here
he had 18 Home Runs. 7 weeks later he has 19. How is this possible?
