Gonzales down Rivas added to roster

Per the Bucs official Roster Gonsales has been optioned to AAA and Alfonso Rivas has been add to the Official Roster.

The musical chairs with middle infielders needs to stop.

They did it because they want all of the middle IF guys to get regular playing time, at least that's what they said on the radio.

This disappointed me because I want Gonzales to get as many at bats as possible. But I can also see giving him a chance to reset himself under less pressure. I hope he’s back on tract before the end of the month and quickly returns.

I think the Pirates have an abundance of middle infielders with Williams, Marcano, Bae, Cruz, Gonzales, Peguero and anyone I might have overlooked. They may have to attempt to trade one,or two of them this offseason to fill a position of need like starting pitching, or first base. I think with all the middle infield depth was a big reason to deal Castro.
