They've faced several LHPs lately. He doesn't play against them. And sometimes he sits vs RHPs so Trumbo can DH while a better defensive player plays RF. Pedro has not contributed much to that offense and is somewhat of an afterthought.

Does Japanese baseball await Pedro? Tis a shame that he did not reach his potential with the Bucs. From what I saw they guy did hustle just without a lot of overall results.

It looks like Pedro has turned out to be the proverbial epic failure. Nothing personal against the guy, but I'm happy he's not wearing a Pirate uniform any longer.

To be fair h started ou VERY slow, but he was valuable in June

At Camden Yards. wRC+ is 102. Jaso beats that, plays better defense than Pedro did last year. Mercer is at 103. All are giving their team positive value, which Pedro is barely doing (and only doing so because he does not wear his glove much anymore).
Even with the hot June, that is awful production for a DH.
