One more left (Bell) - and the future has arrived. The rest of this season is huge for all kinds of reasons.

Biertempfel:

Industry sources told the Tribune-Review the Pirates have quietly contacted other clubs to gauge what Niese (7-6, 4.87 ERA) could bring via a trade.

First game is against Adam Wainwright as well. Let's hope Glasnow looks great and that there is no doubt in the Pirates minds about leaving him in the rotation to start the 2nd half. A rotation consisting of Cole,Taillon,Glasnow,Liriano if he can pull it together and either Locke, Niese, or Kuhl as the 5th guy the Pirates have a great chance to make a decent run in the 2nd half of the season.

Wow, pretty neat the Bucs have so many young starting arms making the move to the Show. Tallion, Kuhl, Brault, and now Glasnow. Guess the last time The Bucs had this type of a youth movement in the starting rotation would have to be in the mid 60's when the likes of Dock, Ellis, Bob Moose, Luke Walker, Steve Blass and company made the trip from Columbus to Pittsburgh.

Beat'em Bucs 8-)
