Nice at bat for Frazier, and then he doubles. Keep him in line up and recall Bell and see how the season ends.

Frazier drives in two. Please keep him in the line up for an extended period.

Agreed 100%.
Frazier does not play great defense yet. But let him play regularly and I'm betting he's good with the glove. Let Bell get his reps in Pittsburgh.

Nice win to start this series. Needed something good to put that terrible weekend in Milwaukee behind them. Good news on the scoreboard tonight so far. The Reds just walked off on the Cards, and Miami is down 3-2 to the Cubs in the 9th. So a chance to pull within 2.5 games of the 2nd wildcard tonight for the Bucs and just continue to hang around in this race.

Yes, good win tonight.
But after a the fiasco in Milwaukee, we need a sweep in ATL to make up for it. And even that won't make up for it. This needed to be a 4-2 trip, which is no longer possible.
And anyway there's no way we're sweeping with Locke & Vogelsong back to back.
I would MUCH rather see Brault instead of Locke tomorrow, and it's not even close.

I would rather see Brault as well get another chance. It's not like he pitched terrible in Mikwaukee last week. I'm not looking forward to seeing Locke start another game once again. Hurdle better have a quick hook for him tonight if he starts to stink early on in the game. The Pirates need to win these games in Atlanta and Hurdle can't sit back and wait 3 or 4 innings hoping Locke doesn't implode if he is on the verge of doing so. If he stinks early and you can tell he doesn't have it I yank him by the 2nd inning. You gotta win these next two games and you can't worry about making sure Locke is okay at the same time.

I guess for me this is the final kick to the gut from the weekend - I just don't understand why they would insert Locke and Vogelsong back into the rotation. Especially if they're serious about contending still, but even if they're not, this is lunacy. Isn't it?!
