Another really strong performance today for Indy. 7IP 4H 0ER 0BB 8K 102 pitches with 73 for strikes.

On the season he is now 3-1 with a 2.36 ERA, 24H allowed in 34IP, 6BB, 29K

Could this be the next guy in line to take Taillon's spot?

I saw him in AA last year. I didn't think he was a prospect. Straight 88 - 92 mph fastball, a curve that was ok and that's about it.

I'm pretty surprised he's having this type of success in AAA. Makes me wonder if he's tweaked something

A quick search at P2 turned up something.  Apparently he and Clay Holmes both added a new pitch toward the end of last season, a slider/cutter that the guys at P2 like to call a slutter.

I assumed he threw harder than that. Wow. The guy is 6'6". He fits the Huntington mold. I always thought he was part of the depth and future rotation guy.

Tyler Eppler just tweeted thanking Baseball America for naming him the top prospect in baseball.

"Honored to be named the new number 1 prospect in baseball! But confused as to why they chose a video of me giving up a hit??...."

He was pitching to Yoan Moncada. He did have me confused at first. Funny.
