No lineups yet just looking to make it two in a row on my Game Threads to start the season. Interesting to see how Trevor Williams will pitch today I think a lot of eyes are on him this season to start.

Really hope someone smacks some sense into hurdle before the Marte batting 6th mistake runs for a long stretch.

He's the best or 2nd best hitter on this team, and he has very good speed. Get him up the order, sheesh

There's that "6 Man is second lead off man" theory. I never understood it. I'd drop Harrison to that spot.

He might be a good combo with Cervelli right now.

FYI, this is the free game of the day on MLB.tv. I haven’t renewed my subscription yet, and may not at all as the season goes on, but I’ll probably tune in at least a little bit today.

Looking at the weather in Detroit today, I'm going to guess this game either gets rained out, or is a really late start. I don't get why MLB does this...if they have to have games in northern cities this time of the year, I think they should try to make them be inter-division games. At least that way, if you do have a rainout, you know you have two other trips throughout the year to make it up. If this game gets called, the Bucs either have to make a special trip to Detroit for a one-game series, or play a DH tomorrow and throw your rotation off three games into the season. And I'll say it again...the Angels and Giants are opening on the road because of some silly rule that says the Dodgers and Angels and A's and Giants can't both play at home at the same time.

And there it is...officially postponed. So, DH tomorrow, or a special trip to Detroit. Yay. Good job MLB.

Every team should have their opening the season series. You make a good point that it should be in the division so it's easier to make up.

Also both teams can add a player since it is a doubleheader. Bucs may add another pitcher for bullpen.
