at least 2 homers for Polanco tonight along with at least one great defensive play.

What are the odds?

This is ridiculous. There has to be a reason for playing him. I hope we get to hear the explanation.

Well, looking at the “crowd” that came out tonight, I’ve definitely been proven wrong: I was certain that if the pirates played meaningful games in late August and Sept that the fans WOULD show up. Maybe 2500 people here for a VERY important, HUGE, series.

Very disappointing.

Biggest series of the season so far

With the Orioles losing 18 in a row the Bucs have fallen 5.5 back of them. Need to lose all 3 to the DBacks and move past them in the race for the #1 pick. Other than some playing time for the younger players; nothing else matters this year.

Yep huge. But I feel no excitement, not even on the normally excitable OBN! :(

The Cards used to bring Stan the Man and Gibby into the clubhouse to inspire the boys before a tough series. The Pirates should maybe start bringing in guys like Abe Nunez and Jimmy Anderson.

Maybe if they promised Anderson that he could grab a few sandwiches at the post game spread.
