Since pitching 5 perfect innings in his MLB debut, these are the individual game ERAs for Kranick:

3 IP, 3 ERs, ERA: 9.00

3 IP, 4 ERs, ERA: 12.00

5 IP, 6 ERs, ERA: 10.80

4 IP, 3 ERs, ERA: 6.75

4.2 IP, 5 ERs, ERA: 9.64

5 IP, 3 ERs, ERA: 5.40

Overall ERA: 7.28. He does not inspire confidence.

Tucker starts the game with a 1st pitch HR. It was the first pitch of Phils' pitcher Hans Crouse's MLB career.

We were saved by the Phils manager. When the announcers said Crouse had his first start, his first strikeout, I knew (as did everyone, I assume, that his first home run was coming next. Fortunately, then, it was Girardi to the rescue.

The HR was on the first pitch that he threw. There was no strikeout (or anything else) before that.

No, no. I meant that Crouse would hit his first home run. We seem to have given up a number of those this season.
