Expanded April rosters

I just heard on the game broadcast that MLB will likely allow teams to carry 2 extra players (total 28) for April. This is a return to a policy of yesteryear. I remember in the 1960s that teams carried 28 for the first 30 days of their season and then had to cut down to 25. Don't recall exactly when that practice began and ended but I believe it lasted until the late 1960s.
