Give him a week down at rookie ball to get warmed up. Then put him at Bradenton for rest of season. Challenge this kid from day 1

I just read that he's five eight. That's interesting considering all of the giants we've been acquiring.

Perfect Game Showcase has him as 5 10, 175 but I wouldn't be surprised if he is shorter than that.

Termarr Johnson is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Mays. Compact strong athletic build. Left handed hitter, creates easy plus bat speed, attacks balls in the zone but sees the ball extremely well and will not expand, has incredible raw power for his size, hit a violent line drive game home run off a 93 mph fastball, perhaps the top all around hitter in the 2022 class. 6.65 runner in the sixty. Has very quick feet on defense, works low to the ground behind balls, has a chance to stay at shortstop but if not will be a highest level defensive second baseman. Plays with a big personality and leadership skills on and off the field. Excellent student. GM Cherington said he expects Pirates are done signing players from 2022 draft. They have three unsigned picks: Rd 12 KC Hunt, Rd 14 Julian Bosnic, Rd 19 Yuel Tejada.

As an aside, what do you guys think of dan zangrilli? I was on a road trip down to central WV a few months ago and he was doing the PBP for WVU baseball. He was really good, better than I would expect from a college baseball broadcast. That along with his Pirates experience, I wouldn't be surprised if he was hanging around on the dream of being the next voice of the bucs.

Draft signing deadline has passed. Per Biertempfel, they signed 14th round pick Bosnic, LHP from S. Carolina.
