Greg Brown is the ultimate cheerleader. He says Hayes is looking like "the old Hayes." He can't mean the one that hit .244 last year. or the one that hit .257 in 2021. He must mean the one that had a great brief rookie debut (85 ABs) in 2020. Brown should have, "the old, old, old Hayes."

After Bolton got the 3rd out, Brown called it "a great job" after Bolton walked 3. Brown raved about Suwinski running down a ball in deep CF. Anybody who wouldn't make that catch would have no business in the OF. He ran a long way but had sufficient speed to catch up to the ball so there was no reason not to catch it.

Brown is generally positive and hypes up the routine. I don’t mind his approach. I do however mind the roster management and total failure to score runs with multiple runners on base

Bolton walks 3 in the 6th. In the 7th it's 1 walk and 2 hits. So far.

Why is Bolton being allowed to put this game out of reach?
