That new 5-strikes rule is really going to slow down the game!   ;D

:)

The sad part is that he apparently still couldn't make contact!

The link above isn't the draft prediction article but it does talk about him being highly rated. As a reliever he was supposed to reach majors quickly. lists him throughout the season as one of top college prospects

Jose Osuna with his second homer of the early spring.

What's gotten into him?

My guess is that he didn't like his placement in this years' OBN prospect poll

I know the experts say that spring training statistics are not a good comparison when judging a player, but in my opinion Osuna will be a better major league player than Harold Ramirez who the Bucs added in Liriano trade last season.

Looks like Glasnow got hit around and little today with some walks.

Hutchison pitched a fine three innings. Cole had a good outing as well.

Who knows how accurate the stats are in Spring Training.

Osuna is a good player - though underrated by media, ranking systems and all prospect polls.

I would be very happy if he really pushes Josh Bell this season instead of Bell being handed the job. One could say that Osuna has been pushing Bell to be a better player over the last couple of years in the minors... ;D

Watched his first AB today while eating lunch and Buffalo Wild Wings. Looked like he can hit the ball but not yet nearly the hitter that Bell can become. Did not see him defensively though. I expect him to begin in AAA and maybe improve there and push Bell next season.

It was off a left and to the opposite field. I like that. :)
