Less than a hour to go and most of the team is still intact. Disappointing. More need to go to create playing time for the prospects.

No one wants our marginal veteran players. And our ask for Reynolds and Bednar was probably through the roof, as it should be. Happy with what we got for what we gave up. These last 2 months should be all about the kids playing. VanMeter and Yoshi have no business starting from now on.

If the vets are on the roster --- Yoshi, VanMeter, Gamel, and Marisnick --- I am concerned that Shelton will feel compelled to play them.

P.S. VanMeter and Gamel are both in tonight's starting line-up.

There is no deadline to DFA players.

Understood, but it does require an action, and in at least the cases of Yoshi and VanMeter, it is overdue.

He was optioned to Indy.

I'm glad to see Gamel stay. He's a good veteran to have with so many young players on the team. And they wouldn't have gotten much for him anyway.
