If the starting rotation remains as is, and the Pirates are actually willing to enter a 162-game season with ONE legitimate starting pitcher, which is incomprehensible to me, I think we're looking at a 58-104 type season.

The offense isn't that great. The defense isn't that great. So those facets of the game not NEARLY good enough to cover up for the absence of a major league starting rotation.

I don’t think they will lose over 100 games if they don’t add another starting pitcher prior to the season. I don’t think they will be over .500 at season’s end, which will be a disappointment. I am sure we will see Skenes before June, and Brubaker will return after the All Star break. To protect him, he could pitch three or four innings in each outing. If they don’t acquire a starting pitcher prior to Opening Day they are going to begin the season several games under .500, and will not be able recover from that poor start to the season.

minor league deal with RH Chase Anderson. He had a good year in 2019.

Just more of Cheap Bob's antics. BC will tell us that the team needs minor-league depth if he doesn't make the OD roster. :x :x :x :x
