Perhaps folks are being too negative.
Pirates now have more hits than the Reds, 3 vs. 2, and have struck-out less.
The Pirates also lead in the all important category of runs that they should have scored, which every fan knows are more important than the runs that you actually scored.
I didn't see Cora's misstep today, but it is not good when the conversation regularly circles back to the third base coach making a mistake.
Like others, I don't know if Shelton is a good manager or not, however, I have yet to see him do anything that says --- way to go, and more frequently I find myself saying --- what. And, one of the what's is (is not) having good coaches around you.
