Rockies just signed Dakota Hudson, as well as Jacob Stallings. In my opinion both could have been possible players to help the Pirates this season. I am anxious to see what amounts they signed for.

Contracts like that should be what GMBC and BN should make. Two decent players at such low salaries.
I totally agree with you. They don’t want to spend, and these two players came at low costs. I kind of wonder if there is something on the burner, but it has not yet been finalized. Maybe another pitcher with a salary in the neighborhood of 10 to 12 million dollars.

Hudson may have been worth taking a shot on at his age. As for Stallings, I’d have given him a pass. His time has past.
I agree Hudson would have been worth a shot. From reading some comments from today’s PirateFest it seems like the Pirates are still working on adding to the team prior to ST. They must have confidence something is going to get done, which could be a reason they passed on Hudson. I still wonder if Rodriguez the Cuban right handed pitcher is still in play for them. It is about a week since it was reported Toronto was the leading team to sign him, and nothing has happened.

If BC doesn’t sign another starter it may be because he’s willing to let his younger pitchers fill out the rotation. I’d find that disappointing because the players seem to think this season is when they’ll start to legitimately contend. It would be a miracle if they could with such an inexperienced staff.

On today's PG Podcast both Jason Mackey and The Fort suggested that the Bucs go after Trevor Bauer and oo Tim Lincecum. What say ye?
I saw the Podcast. Fort really was pushing for Bauer. Mackey not so much considering his past.
Fort said that there are guys playing in the Majors who did worse. I would have no problem
with Bauer.
