The Jays hit eight HRs yesterday in Boston. They, and so many of the other teams, have multiple players who have power. In the past 25 years, the Pirates have drafted/developed hardly anyone with that skill. Power hitting is just one of the ways the organization is so far behind that it's hard to imagine success will come their way again.

Even when he was hitting 30+ HRs he was a very incomplete hitter. And his defense became a problem as well. Flawed indeed.
