Gamel, Mitchell, and Yoshi counter attack the shift and we plate a run. Yoshi was robbed earlier when he smoked a liner to first in the fourth inning.

Is it just me or does it seem like every time a Pirates pitcher walks the first batter, that guy scores, but when the first Pirates batter of an inning walks, he doesn’t come close to sniffing the plate?

I guess 81 pitches was too much for Shelton. Quintana had to go so that the Marlins had a better chance to win.

Oh no, Billy Hamilton, one of the worst major leaguers in history, has come into the game to run. If history is any guide, he’ll upset the Pirates to the point that he’ll score without the Marlins hitting the ball out of the infield.
