And then the Cubs won. I just hope they get fat and lazy on the banquet circuit this winter.

Ross is retiring. This was there one and only shot... ;)

The Indians? Just a great run. So I hate to say it but it will be VERY retesting to see what their FO does this off season. Will they retreat or make another run?

What a clown.

I agree completely with your comment about Chapman - I can't believe Maddon wasted 2 innings last night.  If nothing else, the Indians are getting a lot of looks at him.

Chapman gets rocked for 3 runs and the Indians tie it at 6 in the bottom of the 8th.  I would love to see Maddon's arrogance come back to bite him here.

The Cubs won but Maddon is clearly a clown. Not that anyone will notice since he is the coolest man in the world.... ::)

I'm happy to say that I didn't watch a single inning of this World Series. Wish the Cubs would have lost though.

Have to say that I'm OK with the Cubs winning -- and it's mostly because they won despite their awful manager. Loved seeing Maddon being exposed for the buffoon he is.

Lots of Cubs fans here at work. "Why aren't you pulling for the Cubs." "Because your manager is an idiot." This morning, "Our manager is an idiot." "I told you so." Guess that is satisfying on some level cause I really dislike Maddon.

Theo is a class act. Bringing up Ernie Banks, Ron Santo and saying that he was excited to see Billy Williams when they got back to Chicago really showed he gets what a fan's devotion is all about. A lot of "Johnny come lately" Cub fans probably didn't understand it, but I appreciated it.

You did miss one of the best Game 7 ever.

The Cubs winning really put some pressure on the Pirates. I hope Huntington was watching with Nutting. Ricketts and Epstein are a good team. That can be duplicated.

You have been around long enough to know last night's result does nothing to change the MO of the Pirates. We will still pursue the people we do regardless.

Yep it won't change anything with the way the Pirates think with the Cubs winning. The Pirates are nowhere near close to being as good as or having a chance to realistically compete with the Cubs to win the division. You gotta spend some more money if you want to win that's the bottom line. That's why Cleveland blew a 3-1 series lead they didn't have the big name money guys like a Zobrist for the Cubs or a Lester or Chapman for the Cubs that got those one or two extra hits or runs last night. You can't win a World Series being 22nd in payroll out of 30 teams. I told everybody on here when the Cubs got off to their ridiculous start they did that this team was in a class of its own and that it was the best team since the 98 Yankees and they didn't dissapoint at all.
