off of ex-Bucco Austin Davis too.
That was the 1st batter Davis faced. He entered with the bases loaded and 2 outs and induced a routine fly ball to CF. That should have ended the inning. The batter even looked annoyed at himself when he saw where the ball was going. But the CFer never saw the ball.

I can't believe the CF walked when the ball landed. Would have taken him out right then and there

Cubs just swept the Phillies in Philly. The first time the Cubs have swept a three game series there since 2,000.

The Mets aren't batting Vogelbach leadoff. Their manager must not be as smart as Shelton.

If only Shelton had 5% of Buck Showalter's Baseball IQ

If only Shelton had 5% of Buck Showalter's Baseball IQ
Then that would mean his baseball IQ would increase five fold.

Since the bucs played yesterday afternoon, I watched some other games last night. Saw clips of Mets and Yankees, Braves and Phillies, and Toronto and Cards. I looked at each lineup and then
looked at ours. Very Very depressing.

I understand what you mean. I've had that exact same feeling. Very depressing.

BC has not paid enough attention to the MLB roster for a couple of years - but especially this year. I am hoping against hope that we'll see a major roster shakeup after the deadline - including dropping guys that don't get traded - VanMeter (who I have ranted against since day 1) and Yoshii.
Then we'll join the race to the #1 pick for another year - which I am getting really tired of under BC - not too far to fall to get that spot. August and September are looking to be really bad.
