After interview they said Kang may be moved to Indy this weekend.

Just looked at box score and Kang hit his third homer tonight. He is 1-3 so far this game.

Obviously he's overqualified for that low level of pitching.

He's ready and should be up here this weekend and not wasting time at Indy.  But, SRods bobblehead night is the 23rd, so I'm guessing this all will be stretched out.  ;D

The real comedy is going to be a potential .500 slugging infielder playing a reserve role to an entire infield that aren't half as valuable.  It's going to be painful for me to listen to all the him-hawing and BS being peddled about "baseball shape" and a whole bunch of other nonsense while a potential elite bat sits.

Osuna for Bell...Kang for SRod.  Those transactions need to happen soon, if not immediately.

Moran and Bell look like the future to me. I expect them to get a lot of playing time. Harrison and Mercer are right handed too.

Kang's best position is 3B. Do you expect him to just bounce around the infield? Will there be an outfield and infield shuffle?

Clint may like the idea of an outfield and infield shuffle. (don't say it very loud).

Totally agree, Bell needs to know he needs to earn his spot, so far he looks totally entitled. I'd bring up Osuna and send him down, maybe he'd decide to work harder. SRod just needs to go, he is awful yesterday.

I see nothing that tells me he isn't working hard. Would going down help him? I don't know.

As usual, we disagree.   Moran and Bell look like future starting busts to me.   They're just different <1 WAR  names fans are latched onto. Flavors of the year.  I do think Moran will be backup quality, while I question if Bell can ever even be that. Always a possibility, however.

Kang is different.  Kang is actually very good, so there is that.

However since it's abundantly clear you're aligned with the FO thoughts on Bell and Moran and both of those guys are going to get years to succeed or fail..., I'd guess that JHay should be traded and Kang play 2b. Because he has to play somewhere.  Could trade Jordy and play Kang there. Wouldn't bother me.

My ideal would be that a hugely team favorable contract extension for Kang is announced today and we just stop fiddling around with a bunch of guys who might be average if everything breaks right.   That's my opinion.

I'm doubleing down with my prediction that Kang is going to be an elite bat.  Possibly SUPER Elite.  Also, that he's able to capably play 2b, 3b and play short below average but passable. Im sure he could play 1b too.

So if he fails, everyone can laugh at me for my crazy prediction because he's been away from the game for so long and forgot how to play.
