Nova contract talks

What incentives are allowed to be added to a contract for a pitcher? Is it just appearances / starts?

Not a bad offer. Just one thing, if the Bucs decide to refuse the first option what type of buyout are you talking about? Surely not the 15.5 million.
Possum- I'd have no buyout for the 4th year. I think that makes the overall contract more incentivized for Nova. Pitch well enough for 3 years and get a raise, under perform and you're gone. The 5th year buyout acts as a (relatively small) bonus for delivering 4 years of productivity.
