I prefer them all to sit at once instead of resting here and there. Why weaken the line up on a daily basis compared to once a week?

even if they don't need rest?

I know this team needs offense, but why not find an outfielder somewhere; someone who can actually judge and catch a line drive, a short fly ball into the outfield or even one over their head. Our current outfield play is costing the team games and forcing starting pitchers to throw more pitches than they need to.

With nearly everyone on the team hitting less than .240, I can't believe that there isn't a .240 hitting outfielder out there at a reasonable price that NH can't go get. And, even when Frazier and Freese come back, it isn't like the need suddenly goes away. None among Frazier, Harrison, Jaso and Osuna would even remotely be considered a good outfielder.

I believe its time to eat some salary - Gosselin and/or Jaso (he no longer has a position with both Bell and Freese available) - and to bring in a real outfielder. Continuing, if either was hitting like Ryan Zimmerman I may have a different opinion, but at present, Abe Nunez would have been a better option.

Hurdle is wrong for putting Osuna, Polanco and Jaso together in the outfield yesterday, but NH (or the owner) isn't giving him many parts. Yesterday wasn't acceptable yesterday and clearly should not be acceptable going forward.

No. Just saying that if they are going to sit, I prefer they all sit together.

The lineup is already weakened on a daily basis, no matter who Hurdle runs out there.

I agree with Maine ... it's inexcusable that we keep going along with only 2 real outfielders (and one of those is not very reliable). I don't ever remember a major league club with just 2 OFs on the roster.

If it were up to me, I'd acquire an OF with a good glove, or I'd promote my best defensive OF -- regardless of how they hit. And I'd play Gift every game at 2B.

That way, no matter how well or poorly they hit, at least I would be solidifying and improving my defense which is costing us runs (and games) on an almost daily basis.

Right now, we have bad defense and bad hitting. At least this way our defense would improve significantly.

Yeah I'm not really sure what people are expecting from this roster and what a different manager would do

Who is the question?

You have to think that Huntington is asking around. Do you think the Nationals are shopping around too? I think we all know an OF is needed, but I have no idea who is available.

Bell should still go to the outfield. He has to bebetter with the glove than Jaso and Osuna.

Osuna should be in the OF.  What is it you like to say, if he hits he'll play?  At least until a better solution is found or he comes back to Earth.
