Official Game Day Thread - 4/6 - Bucs vs O's

Post by Possum »

O's

SS G. Henderson L
DH A. Rutschman S
1B R. Mountcastle R
RF A. Santander S
3B J. Westburg R
LF Austin Hays R
CF C. Mullins L
C James McCann R
2B Jorge Mateo R
SP Tyler Wells R

Bucs

SS Oneil Cruz L
LF B. Reynolds S
RF Connor Joe R
CF J. Suwinski L
DH E. Olivares R
1B Rowdy Tellez L
3B Jared Triolo R
C Joey Bart R
2B A. Williams R
SP Bailey Falter L

This will be like a shooting crap if Shelty pulls off the win with this lineup. No Hayes but Triolo is okay for one game a 3B, and Bart filling in for Henry for a game. I can't wait until Peggy is ready to come up and play 2B and Williams is sent packing.

Bart makes sense since Davis is ice cold. But Williams??? This is his 3rd start in 9 games. Is he so important to the team that he needs frequent playing time? Especially on a day when Bart and Willliams are in the lineup and Hayes and Cutch are not. This obsession with resting players is maddening. It's only game 9 and Hayes is hitting well. I hope it works out. Maybe Williams and Bart will both get key hits. But on the surface it looks highly questionable. Like so many Shelton moves through the years. Including pulling a dominating Jones yesterday after 80 pitches/63 strikes, 21 swinging strikes. I hope the Orioles sent Shelton a big "thank you" for that.

Probably a few Pittsburgh sport fans making a day of it.

Penguins then Pirates. Hope it's a good day for Burgh sports.

Williams should be benched. His pop up was caught in fair territory and he's standing at the plate

You guys are not thinking of Falter. 5 innings no hits, no runs, 1 walk, 1K. Will Shelty send him out for the 6th?
